Dividends
Dividends shows what your holdings paid and are expected to pay, after tax withheld at source, by day, month and year, across every account.
The summary
Portfolio → Dividends opens with what you have received this year, net, against the gross amount, and how much was withheld at source. Four figures follow: the average a month, the number of payouts, the next payout and the portfolio's yield. Choose a past year to see what was received, or a future one for the forecast.
Calendar and year overview
The calendar marks each pay date with its amount; step through months with the arrows. Beside it are this month's total and the payments around today. Below, the year overview shows each month as a bar, with forecast months drawn lighter than paid ones.
Upcoming and received
The ledger lists upcoming payments, nearest first, then a line for today, then payments received, which can be filtered by year, quarter or month. Every row shows the ticker, the date, the account and the amount net, with the gross amount beneath it. Upcoming rows say whether the payment is declared or a forecast.
How payments are worked out
A payment counts as received only when it comes from history and its pay date has passed. A paid dividend is priced on the shares you held at the ex-dividend date; a forecast uses your current quantity. Where sources disagree, a paid amount beats a declared one, and a declared one beats a modelled one.
The net amount applies the withholding rate for the security and your residence (US withholding for US securities, at the treaty rate if a W-8BEN is on file and 30% if not), then your home tax rate from Residency settings. The withheld figure links to the Tax screen, which explains where it comes from; see Tax and cross-border.
Free and Pro
Free includes the basic dividend calendar; Pro adds the full dividend history and forecast. See Plans and limits.
